Amazon.com Product Description It may seem shocking to some, but there are still several situations where you're better off on a hardtail than a full-suspension mountain bike, such as when riding to class, dirt jumping, riding on smoother trails, or just cruising around the neighborhood. Enter the Diamondback Sorrento mountain bike, which offers the perfect blend of hardtail performance and rugged utility. The Sorrento--which shares the same practical reliability and good times as the Diamondback Outlook--offers several upgrades over its sibling, including an upgraded 6061 aluminum frame with an oversized down tube, an A-head threadless fork with a clamp-on stem, superior SRAM SX-4 seven-speed shifters, and an improved SRAM X.4 rear derailleur. The Sorrento is an ideal multipurpose mountain bike for trail or around-town use.

| Customer Reviews: Not bad for the money June 6, 2010 DougRaber (Houston) I bought this bike to go on adventures while in Vancouver Wa visiting. It climbs well. I am 6' tall 210 lb so a 20" frame was a good fit it has sram shifters which took some getting used to but work good. Good riding position and geometry, comfortable seat. Mine came with kenda tires which i will replace soon. only holds one bottle so i would suggest a camelbak. wheels have quick release and the bike is light enough for a fun day. I would recomend this bike to a friend.
Good Deal February 27, 2010 Shawn Elmer 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Quality bike for the price. Has just about everything you would look for in a mountain bike costing hundreds more. The pedals are plastic and need to be upgraded but overall a nice purchase. It comes about 90% assembled; you need to mount the quick release front tire, seat, handle bars and attach the brake cables; it took about 20 minutes. There are instructions in the owners manual and the tools needed to put it together.
Beware! No assembly instructions...and no support from manufacturer December 4, 2009 Jennifer C. Daniel (florida) 3 out of 14 found this review helpful
This looks like a quality, well made bike and I am sure my son will enjoy it very much...after we go to the bike shop where we DIDN'T purchase a bike and have them finish assembling it. We are pretty handy people but this is pretty tough with out any instructions. Don't try to put this together after the eggnog on Christmas Eve.
Update...our bike shop has had to fix the brake and do a bunch of assembly stuff. Also, he said only dealers are supposed to sell it. Don't buy this bike unless you are a professional bike assembler. I give it a "2" because it is decent enough but $75 later not such a great deal. And by the way, Raliegh/Diamond Back stated that we should have bought it from an "authorized dealer". Why do you sell it on Amazon then?
My advice is go to your local bike shop. You will end up there anyway!
