About EbikeBuy
EbikeBuy is an e-bike buying guide and local service resource on Florida's Treasure Coast. We help people choose the right electric bike, and then we make sure it's actually built properly before anyone rides it.
The second half is the part nobody else offers. An e-bike arrives from the factory about 85% assembled — spokes loose, brake pads glazed, fasteners finger-tight. Most buyers put it together on a living room floor with the included multi-tool and ride it that way for a year. We publish the checklist that fixes that, and we'll do the work for you if you're local.
What we tell you
Manufacturers publish the flattering numbers. Range figures assume a light rider on flat ground with no wind. "1000W" often means peak, not sustained. We'd rather give you the specification we can verify and say plainly when we can't verify something.
That extends to recommendations. If a bike isn't right for you, we'll say so — including bikes we earn a commission on. A customer who buys the wrong e-bike doesn't come back, and doesn't send their neighbor.
Parts, accessories & repair
Bikes Plus in Jensen Beach handles assembly, tuning and repair on any e-bike — any brand, whether or not you bought it through us. That includes the work most shops turn away because it's electric.
- Assembly — the full nine-point pre-delivery checklist, every fastener torqued to spec
- Tune-ups — brakes, gears, wheels, bearings, tire pressure set to your weight
- Repairs — flats, brake service, drivetrain, wheel building, cable and housing
- Electrical diagnosis — displays, controllers, connectors, battery and charging faults
- Parts fitting — racks, fenders, lights, mirrors, child seats, trailers and saddles
Bring the part in and we'll fit it, or order it through the accessory links on our site and have it shipped straight to the shop so it's on the bike when you collect it.
How we make money
Two ways, and we'd rather you knew both.
Affiliate commissions. When you buy a bike through a link on this site, the brand pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as going to them directly. Our current affiliate partner is EUNORAU; links to any other brand are plain links that pay us nothing. This is disclosed on every page and set out in full in our affiliate disclosure.
Service work. Assembly, tuning and repairs at the shop. That's a flat fee for labor, quoted before we start.
The commission does not change what we recommend. We'd rather point you at the right bike and earn nothing than sell you the wrong one and handle the complaint.

Booking a build
Tell us the brand and model, whether you already have the bike or it's still shipping, and the best way to reach you. If it's arriving by freight, send the tracking number and we'll take delivery and inspect it for you.
