What it does
A 48V, 14Ah battery holds about 672 Wh. Range depends on that plus your weight, hills, wind, tire pressure and assist level, so the same bike can go twice as far on Eco as on Turbo.
Signs of a problem
- Range much shorter than it used to be
Safe things to check
- Check your tires are pumped up; soft tires cost range.
- Try a lower assist level and see how far you get.
Looking after it
- Expect range to shrink slowly as the battery ages.
